Why Do I Need a Contractor's General Liability Policy?
Any construction contractor, during the course of their work, can be sued for an injury or damage to property on or off the jobsite. Even the most diligent and careful worker can be held liable or be sued for an accident. Defense costs and damages alone resulting from such lawsuits are a significant portion of the cost of a Contractor's General Liability Policy. It is not uncommon for a professional to spend thousands of dollars on their defense costs for a matter that ultimately gets dismissed.
Does This Cover My Name and My Business?
Your Contractor's General Liability Policy with us will cover you for certified and licensed work related activities made by you personally, and those actions you make under your business name. It will NOT cover employees, staff, or independent subcontractors who are working for you or under your business name. They will need to obtain their own separate General Liability Policy.
Why Are Your Rates Lower Than Everyone Else?
We have chosen not to pay high commissions to salespeople to offer our products. We receive most of our new clients from word-of-mouth referrals, and search engine queries - which lowers our advertising costs. We also use a streamlined application process and low cost annual payment modes to give us the ability to lower our administrative costs, processing fees and overhead expenses. We decline coverage for those applicants that have a higher risk, would have been ridered, rated or limited coverage. These business practices, and others, allow us to offer our Policies at one of the lowest rates in the industry, and enables us to pass the savings onto you.
Will My Quoted Amount Change After My Application Is Processed?
Your website quoted amount will remain the same, even after your application is reviewed by our New Business Department. We decline coverage for those applicants that have a higher risk, would have been ridered, rated or limited coverage. This allows us to only cover those with exceptionally low risk, allowing us to maintain our low rates.
Do You Offer Worker’s Compensation?
We do not offer any Worker’s Compensation Coverage at this time.
How Long Does It Take To Get a Certificate Of Coverage?
The Certificate of Coverage is emailed to you as soon as the application is approved. Most applicants receive Certificate of Coverage and Declarations Page within 1-2 business days.
Why Aren't you In My State?
Regulations and requirements vary from state to state. This dictates the states in which we operate.

Why Do I Have To Pay Before I Can Find Out If My Application Is Approved?
In the General Liability industry it is referred to as "Legal Consideration". A provider must have a completed application and a full or down payment submitted before the application can be reviewed or approved. If not, the New Business Department would spend endless hours reviewing applications for people that were "just shopping". This legal process ensures that each person is a serious applicant, and saves us time and money in processing. This also allows us to offer some of the lowest rates in the industry. We offer a 15% discount on the quoted price for those who are willing to pay the full annual amount at the time of their application. This again, allows us to reduce our administrative costs that are associated with monthly payment processing. Your full or down payment is not processed until the application is approved. If for any reason you refuse Coverage, within the first 30 day Right To Review Period, you will be given a full refund.
Could You Please Explain Your Satisfaction Guarantee Refund Policy?
We are committed to your complete satisfaction, and are confident that you will value our coverage, rates, responsive customer service, and application convenience. We therefore proudly offer you a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with our coverage, we will gladly offer you a complete refund of all monies you have paid us to that point. We process all refunds on the same business day that you request them. All refunds are for the full amount paid unless it is over 30 days, in which case they are monthly pro-rated. Full or down payments are not processed until the application is approved. If the customer then refuses Coverage, they are given a full refund.
What Company Backs Your Coverage?
All Contractor's General Liability Policies that we offer are administered and managed by ACE Financial Group Ltd. ACE Financial Group Ltd is an innovative, leading edge company in the Contractor's General Liability Coverage Risk Sharing Industry. They have state of the art application processing, highly acclaimed business procedures, and exceptional customer service operations.
Is this Insurance?
ACE Financial does not offer an insurance product, but a very effective alternative to insurance by using a risk-sharing group of like-minded industry professionals. We protect our own family by grouping together these low-risk professionals in a policy that is designed and customized to protect them in an honest, practical, cost saving manner. This allows ACE Financial to offer one of the lowest rates in the industry. This risk-sharing method has legally and effectively been used for hundreds of years successfully with farmers, churches, many other professions and governmental agencies.
Do You Have To Be a Construction Contractor To Take Advantage Of The Referral Program?
No, anyone can participate in the Referral Program. You do not have to be a contractor or subcontractor to start receiving $50 checks right away. You don't even have to be a current customer of ours. Just simply ask the person you refer to add your name and address to the appropriate box on their application. A check will be mailed directly to you after their Policy goes into effect. It's that simple!
How Do I Apply For Your Coverage?
Our online application process is simple, quick and easy. It should only take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Just click on any "Apply Now" button to begin. Our staff will review your application and will call or email you with any questions they may have. Most Policies are in effect within 1-2 business days!
Why Don't You Accept Checks?
ACE Accounting Department has determined that it costs us more to accept checks because they often bounce, and there is no way to ensure that the funds are available. Because we process applications and issue coverage so quickly, a bounced check would require us to cancel policies after they have been issued. This is bad for both ACE and the customer. Credit Cards can be verified for funds immediately, and therefore ensure that they have consistent coverage in force.
How And When Do I Get My Certificate of Coverage?
To receive your Certificate of Coverage, simply fill out an online application and pay your annual or down payment. ACE will begin the processing of your application right away. This process usually takes from one to two full business days. Once your application is processed, ACE will email you a welcome letter along with your Certificate of Coverage for you to print off as needed. ACE will then mail you an original copy of your Certificate. If you have applied and paid for additional certificate holders, ACE will also mail a separate original copy (with their each of their names listed on it) for each of them. The process is simple, quick and easy. If you have any additional questions, please contact our Customer Service Department.
